A report by Dainik Jagran on Tuesday (22 August) claimed that the Indian Army again conducted a surgical strike across the LoC in JK on Monday night.
According to the report, the Indian soldiers crossed the LoC and entered the Pakistan from somewhere in between Rajouri and Poonch areas of J&K.
The Indian troops reportedly destroyed four active militant launching pads in Nakyal area of Kotli in Pakistan.
The strikes were carried out around 2.5 km inside the Pakistan administered territory and around 7-8 militants were killed during the operation, with no casualties suffered by the Indian troops.
“A news has been published with respect to surgical strike when no such operation has been carried out in Rajouri-Poonch. An infiltration bid was foiled yesterday, for which press release is also given,” the Indian Army said while denying the reports of surgical strike.
