An encounter has broken out between militants and government forces in Haripora in Trenz belt of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday evening 44RR of Indian Army, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF launched a joint launched a cordon and search operation in the Trenz area of Shopian.
During the cordon, the hiding militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight, he said
Two militants are believed to be trapped.
As per the latest report, an intermittent exchange of gunfire is going on.
