A nocturnal morning encounter has started between militants and Government forces at Warpora area in Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla District.
Officials told The Kashmiriyat that 22 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police after reeving inputs about Militant presence in the area laid a cordon and search operation in the area.
The cordon continued for nearly eight hours, during which the hiding Militants opened fire on the troopers triggering an encounter.
As per initial reports available to The Kashmiriyat two to three militants were trapped in a residential house in the area.

Meanwhile mobile internet services have been snapped in the region, also section 144 has been imposed to thwart any kind of protest.
