An encounter has started between Militants and Government Forces in the Redwani Bala area of Quimoh belt in South Kashmir’s Kulgam district District.
An Official told The Kashmiriyat that 1 RR of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched the Anti Militancy operation late night on Monday.
Earlier Forces had launched a Cordon and Search Operation in the area upon receiving a specific input about the presence of Militants in the area, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
More reinforcements have been called to the spot as troopers have installed search lights over the area, Sources told The Kashmiriyat.
2 to 3 Militants are believed to be holed up in a residential house, they said
Locals from Redwani informed The Kashmiriyat that a massive exchange of gun fire is on between Militants and Forces.
Meanwhile Mobile internet services have been snapped in Kulgam and Islamabad (anantnag) Districts of South Kashmir.
