North Korean leader may sell weapons to Palestinians amid Israel-Hamas conflict

Kim Jong Un, the North Korean leader, has directed officials to provide support to Palestinians during the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict.

South Korea’s spy agency, as reported by the Wall Street Journal, suggests that North Korea may consider selling weapons to Middle Eastern groups to benefit from the war.

South Korea’s National Intelligence Agency’s director, Kim Kyou-hyun, conveyed that Kim Jong Un called for “wide support” for Palestine.

North Korea has faced UN sanctions due to its nuclear program and has allegedly supplied anti-tank rocket launchers to Hamas in the past.

The Wall Street Journal also indicated that North Korea might try to export more weapons during the Gaza conflict.

Recently, there have been images of North Korean weapons being used by Hamas militants, including rocket-propelled grenades and anti-tank missiles.

However, North Korea has denied these claims, labeling them as “groundless and fake rumors” orchestrated by the US.

Additionally, there have been accusations and denials between North Korea and Israel regarding an incident at the Al-Ahli al-Arabi Hospital in the Gaza Strip.

Israel attributed the incident to a failed rocket launch by Hamas, while North Korea accused Israel of committing a war crime with the support of the US.
