Officials blacklist 24 passenger vehicles in Kulgam

A team of the Motor Vehicles Department (MVD) headed by ARTO Kulgam today blacklisted 24 vehicles for violating Traffic rules including Overloading, Overcharging of fares, plying without SLD, and other violations.

The action against the erring was taken during checking carried out by the team as part of an ongoing enforcement drive. Around 150 Vehicles plying on various routes in Kulgam including Lirrow, Behibagh, Bolus, and Yaripora Routes were checked.

ARTO Kulgam said that MVD shall act sternly against rules violations concerning speed-limiting devices, extra fittings, unauthorized modifications.

He added that the inspections by the Motor Vehicles department would continue and shall be intensified in near future across the district.

ARTO also said that the Motor Vehicles Department Kulgam had already suspended multiple route permits and driving licenses.(KNS)
