Officials in Chenab valley order removal of ‘encroachments’ on 3047 kanal, 15 marla state land

Complying with the orders of the administration, the Tehsildar (revenue official) of Bhaderwah district in Chenab valley has ordered the removal of “encroachments” from state/ Roshni/Kahcharai Land by 31 January 2023.

An official notice, of which a copy is available with The Kashmiriyat, a total of 3047 Kanal and 15 Marla is yet to be freed.

” Whereas, in respect of Tehsil Bhaderwah, the encroached State Land measuring 1870 Kanal 07 Marla and Roshni Land 1176 Kanal 08 Marla,” the official notice read.

Therefore, in view of the above, an average target out of State Land measuring 33 Kanal and Roshni Land measuring 21 Kanal per day to each Naib Tehsildar (Khas, Athkar, Bhalra, and Chinta) is hereby fixed to the extent of achievement of 100 per cent removal of encroachments for the said land so that the target as fixed by the higher-ups may achieve within time, the notice read.

Furthermore, all NTs are directed to furnish the Progress report in respect of the quantum of retrieved land in the bifurcation of State as well as Roshni land with Khasra No.’s on daily basis by or before 3:00 PM, the official said.
