The Consumers Affairs and Public Distribution sealed five restaurants in Anantnag after the restaurants were found “heavily” overcharging customers.
Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, an official of the CAPD said that on Monday morning, five restaurants were sealed on the KP road street of the south Kashmir township after they were found overcharging from customers.
The officials said that the Department had received several complaints against the restaurants for overcharging in the recent past. “Today the five were sealed after the claims of over-charging were found true,” the official said.
He said the restaurants sealed by the Department include Khen Chen, Parsa’s, The Lounge, Bold Street Cafe and Amigos, all located on KP road.
“As of now, the restaurants have been sealed, further action will be taken against the five from here on,” the official said.
