Government forces on Wednesday apprehended an Over Ground Worker (OGW) and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession in Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
“On a specific information, Border Security Force (BSF) Kashmir and Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted a joint operation in the border district of Kupwara and apprehended an OGW”, BSF Kashmir posted on X.
1 pistol, 4 hand grenades and 2 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were also recovered from the possession of OGW, they said.
“On specific information of @BSF_Kashmir & supported by @JmuKmrPolice about the transshipment of arms, ammunition, & explosives by an OGW in Kupwara, a joint operation was conducted by #BSF with #JKP & @adgpi and recovered 01 pistol, 04 hand grenades & 02 IEDs from apprehended OGW”, BSF Kashmir said on X.
