
In the wake of the recent terror attack in Pahalgam, the Jammu Kashmir government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, has launched an urgent outreach mission to reassure and assist J&K residents living outside the region.
As part of this initiative, senior ministers have been deputed to various states to meet with students, businesspeople, and other community members from J&K. On the Chief Minister’s directions, Minister Satish Sharma will be available in Dehradun, Uttarakhand on April 26 to interact with residents of J-K and address any concerns regarding their safety and well-being.
“In view of the directions of the Hon’ble Chief Minister, J&K, Jenab Omar Abdullah sahb, I am available in Dehradun, Uttarakhand on 26.04.2025 to meet students, business community & individuals from J&K to ensure a sense of security,” Sharma posted on X, adding that those facing issues can reach him directly at the following numbers: +91 9419180515, +91 9906204222, and +91 9796491417.
Simultaneously, Minister Sakina Itoo has reached Chandigarh and parts of Punjab to engage with J&K residents there.
“On the direction of HCM, I am available in Chandigarh and Punjab to meet students, business community and individuals from J&K to ensure a sense of security,” she wrote on X, sharing contact numbers: +91 9419004823 and +91 7006065102.
The outreach program reflects the government’s proactive approach in addressing the safety concerns of its citizens following the Pahalgam incident, reinforcing its commitment to their welfare irrespective of where they reside in the country.
