An on-duty Policeman of Jammu Kashmir Police died of a cardiac in Verinag area of South Kashmir’s Islamabad (Anantnag) district on Thursday afternoon.
A Police official told The Kashmiriyat that a SGCT with Jammu Kashmir Police identified as Mushtaq Ahmed Parray son of Ghulam Qadir Parray, a resident of Ougjan area in Dialgam died while he was on duty.
He said that Mushtaq who was posted at Police post in Verinag faced a cardiac arrest, after which the fellow Policemen rushed him to the hospital, however upon his arrival at the Hospital, he was declared dead, by the hospital authorities.
The body has been taken by the Police for investigation (when this report was filed).
Sources meanwhile told The Kashmiriyat that senior Policeman, Mushtaq had been unwell for the past few days.
