Suspected militants on Sunday afternoon attacked a Joint party of Government forces personnel in Sazgarpora area of Hawal in central Kashmir’s Srinagar district resulting in injuries to one-armed forces personnel and a civilian.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that one cop identified as Farooq Ahmed received a bullet injury in the attack along with a civilian identified as Muneer Ahmed, a resident of Safa Kadal area of Srinagar.
Farooq Ahmed was working as a constable in the Jammu Kashmir Police was shifted to SKIMS hospital for treatment where his condition is said to be stable.
Meanwhile, the whole area has been cordoned off by the Forces to nab the assailants who were involved in the attack.
