One Killed as Forces Open Fire Upon Vehicle in Anantnag

One person has been shot dead by Government Force personnel in Monghal area in Anantnag in South Kashmir on Thursday Night.

An Official told The Kashmiriyat that Force personnel from 40 Batallion of CRPF had laid a checking at Monghall Bridge on Thursday evening.

“During the checking the forces at the checking (Nakka) tried to stop a Scorpio vehicle, however the vehicle did not stop, it jumped off the Nakka. The Force CRPF men opened fire, resulting in the killing of one person,” he said.

The identity of the person is being ascertained.
