The Jammu Kashmir Police on Friday said that one Iftikhar Ahmad Dar from Anantnag was arrested for carrying a “scandalous online campaign against Kashmiri students studying outside, causing anguish to students and parents.”
The Jammu Kashmir Police in a tweet said a case (FIR No. 23/2022) at police station Anantnag stands registered under relevant sections of law.
Iftikhar Ahmed Dar is a resident of Sarnal in the main town of Anantnag. He had recently run an online video on his page where he had accused students studying outside Jammu Kashmir of being a threat to Islam as they were involved in ‘unislamic’ activities.
