One unidentified militant killed during Sopore encounter

One unidentified militant has been killed in an  encounter in the Baramulla district of north Kashmir on Saturday.

According to officials, the militant was killed during an exchange of gunfire in the Rampora area of Sopore in Baramulla distict.

The identity of the deceased has not been ascertained as of yet, however, arms and ammunition have been recovered from the possession of the slain Militant.

The encounter began earlier when security forces launched a search operation in the area following specific intelligence about the presence of militants in the area.
