One unidentified militant has been killed during the encounter that raged in the Turkwangam area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district.
An official said that during the joint operation conducted by forces including 44 RR of the Indian Army, CRPF, and Jammu Kashmir Police, one militant was killed.
“The identity of the militant has not been confirmed as of yet,” he said, adding, that the operation was still going on.
Meanwhile, internet services have been snapped in the Zainapora belt of Shopian.
