Order asking students to deposit rupees 20 for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign withdrawn

The circular issued by the chief education officer Anantnag directing students to deposit rupees 20 for ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has been withdrawn.

The order accessed by The Kashmiriyat reads “Circular issued by this office vide No. Nil Dated: 21.07.2022 regarding Contribution on account of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ is hereby withdrawn with immediate effect.”

Earlier, The Kashmiriyat reported that the Admin  has directed students in higher secondary schools to deposit rupees 20 for the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.

“In compliance to instructions received from District Administration. All the Principals of Higher Secondary Schools, Zonal Education Officers and Headmasters of Schools falling under the jurisdiction of Chief Education Office Anantnag are directed to collect Rs. 20/= (Rupees Twenty Only) per student enrolled in their school and deposit the same in the concerned Zonal Education office (Nodal Officer) upto 2:00 PM by 23.07.2022 positively,” the order from the Anantnag district Chief Education officer read.

The Zonal Education Officers will deposit the collected amount in this office on 23/07/2022 up to 4:00 PM, the order accessed by The Kashmiriyat read.

Earlier Jammu Kashmir admin had said, “To instill patriotic fervour among citizenry this Independence Day, the culture and tourism ministry will launch ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign under which people will be exhorted to hoist the national flag over their houses on August 15.”

The admin stated that the initiative will be part of the ongoing Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM), celebration and commemoration of 75 years of India’s independence.
