8 CRPF men, civilian injured in Kulgam accident

At least eight paramilitary CRPF personnel and a civilian were injured when two vehicles turned turtle after collision at Nehama area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Thursday, officials said. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that CRPF vehicle bearing registration (HR55AE-2071) collided with an auto bearing registeration number (JK18C-8341), resulting in injuries to eight CRPF personnel and an auto driver. No fuel shortage anywhere in Kashmir: Div com

Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, P K Pole on Thursday said that there was no shortage of fuel in Kashmir and that people shouldn’t need heed to ‘baseless’ rumours. “There is no need to panic as people can go to retail outlets of Indian Oil Corporation Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited to buy fuel,” he said, as per news agency KNS. Pole also said that Hindustan Oil Corporation Limited would also have sufficient stock of petrol and diesel by today evening. While claiming that there wouldn't be any problem regarding the availability of fuel, he advised people to purchase fuel as per their need.

The News Broadcasting and Digital Standards Authority (NBDSA) has directed news channels including Aaj Tak, Zee News, News18 to take down certain programs and videos that "vilify" Muslims. In a detailed order, the self regulatory body directed News18 to take down a show on “Thook jihad”. "The hosted by Aman Chopra, amounted to targeting of a particular community", the order said According to Muslim Mirror, the broadcast regulator has also directed Zee News to remove a program on Muslim population. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Thursday conducted fresh raids at multiple locations in Jammu Kashmir in a major crackdown on the cross LoC (Line of Control) trade and militancy funding case. The joint operation was carried out by the NIA and Jammu Kashmir police along with the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
