Stones were hurled and swords were brandished as two groups clashed near Kali Mata temple in Patiala, Punjab on Friday. The incident happened when the Shiv Sena was carrying out a march, under the supervision of Punjab Shiv Sena working president Harish Singla, against Khalistani groups in Patiala. With 106 internet bans across the country in the year 2021, India for the fourth consecutive year has topped the list of countries banning internet to its citizens. According to a new report released Access Now- a Digital rights advocacy group governments around the gloe have shut the internet at least 182 times in total in 34 countries. Myanmar imposed the highest total number of shutdowns after India, with 15 disruptions, Sudan and Iran shut the internet five times each, the report adds.
