20 days after Father’s death, Motorcyclist dies in a head-on collision in Tral

A 20-year-old motor-cyclist died hours after sustaining injuries in a fatal road accident in Tral town of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Police sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that there was a collision between a motorcycle (JK01AF-0274) and an LP vehicle (JK13A-5568) at the main Bazar Tral. The motorcyclist was badly wounded in the mishap. “After referring him to SKIMS Soura from Sub-District Hospital Tral, he succumbed in the hospital.” Meanwhile Sources identified him as Sharik Ahmed Naik, a resident of Amerabad Tral and said his father passed away barely 20 days ago. Government hikes price of essential medicines including Paracetamol by 10.7 per cent

The Government of India has announced a 10.7 percent increase in the Wholesale Price Index (WPI) for the calendar year 2021 over the corresponding period in 2020. The prices of nearly 800 scheduled medicines on the National List of Essential Medicines, which are used to treat the majority of common ailments, will rise by 10.7 percent starting from April 1, 2022, PTI reported. "Based on the WPI data provided by the office of the Economic Advisor, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the annual change in WPI works out as 10.76607% during the calendar year 2021 over the corresponding period in 2020," the NPPA notice said.
