A Special Police Officer (SPO) was killed while his brother was injured after they were shot at by suspected militants on Saturday evening in the Chatabugh area of Budgam district of central Kashmir. Official sources told The Kashmiriyat that an SPO of Jammu Kashmir Police and his brother were shot at in Budgam's Chatabug area, causing injuries to them. The two identified as Umar Ahmed and Ishfaq Ahmed sons of Ghulam Muhammad were rushed to the hospital for treatment. However, SPO, Ishfaq Ahmad succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
