A man from south Kashmir was found dead under mysterious circumstances at hotel Gulfam in the summer capital Srinagar, officials said on Sunday. They said that a man identified as Showkat Ahmad Ahanger (28), a resident of Sangran Shopian was found dead under mysterious circumstances at hotel Gulfam room no 312 at court road in Srinagar following which the local police was informed. A police officer confirmed the incident to news agency Kashmir Dot Com (KDC) and said “Apparently, it seems suicide, however, we are ascertaining the facts,” he said adding that case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation is on. The body will be handed over to his family members after completing necessary medico-legal formalities, he added. (KDC)

The Central Government had approved creating 3,000 government jobs in 2015 for Kashmiri migrants in Jammu Kashmir out of which, only 1,739 migrants have been appointed and 1,098 others selected for the jobs.
