The Anti Corruption Bureau received a written complaint wherein the complainant alleged that Khalid Bashir Tantray, Sales Tax Inspector is demanding Rs. 3 lakh as bribe for setting right records pertaining to Internal Audit Report of the Sales Tax Department Srinagar. According to the press release, the complainant who is running a business unit, was facing penalty of Rs. 14 lakh from Sales Tax Department. Four drug peddlers arrested in Srinagar, Narcotics recovered: Police

The Jammu Kashmir Police of Friday claimed to have arrested four drug peddlers and recovered narcotics and proceeds of narcotics worth ₹1.25 lacs from their possession. The Committee for Fixation and Regulation of Fee of Private Schools of Jammu and Kashmir (FFRC) on Friday allows Private School Management to hike transportation fee by only 12 percent.
