Ukrainian Woman married in Kashmir worried for her family’s safety

A Ukrainian woman, named Asiya, who converted to Islam and is the wife of Bilal Ahmed, a businessman from Mandurah Tral region of south Kashmir is worried about her family back in Ukraine amid the Ukraine-Russian war, ETV India reported. Asiya's name was Aliza before she met Bilal Ahmed at Goa in 2013 and fell in love. While talking to ETV India, Asiya said that since the beginning of the war, she has been talking to her parents daily. Her relatives live in Harque and other cities. They had taken refuge in underground bunkers to avoid Russian bombing. She sees scenes of the destruction and devastation of her homeland on TV. Jammu and Kashmir Police on Friday claimed to have arrested three militant associates of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) in South Kashmir's Shopian district. Pedestrian dies on spot after being hit by Scooty in South Kashmir

A youth died on spot after being hit by a Scooty in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Quoting police sources news agency KNT reported that a Scooty rider hit a 27-year-old pedestrian in Poolia village falling under the jurisdiction of police station Dooru. The pedestrian identified as Zahid Ahmed Rather son of Habibullah Rather, a resident of Poolia Dooru village died on the spot. Police on Friday said that a newly recruited militant was arrested in injured condition at Langate Handwara in North Kashmir's Kupwara district. A top police officer told GNS that the injured is presently admitted in hospital where his condition is stated to be stable.
