Bike rider killed in Anantnag road accident

A 26-year-old biker killed in a road accident in south Kashmir's Anantnag district on Sunday evening. Reports reaching to GNS said that a bike (JK03-5689) ridden by Mukhtar Ahmad Bhat son of Ghulam Hassan a resident of Hassanpora lost control over the bike and fell down from bridge and got seriously injured. He was immediately shifted to PHC Aishmuqam for treatment where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival. Major fire erupts in Bijhama forest area in north Kashmir

Fire erupted in the forest area of Bijhama in the Uri area of Baramulla district on Sunday afternoon. Govt Orders Start Of Offline Teaching For ‘All Classes’ In Kashmir After Feb 28

The government on Sunday ordered commencement of “offline” teaching for all classes after February 28 in winter zone schools in Jammu and Kashmir. The J&K State Executive Committee (SEC) however kept attendance at indoor gatherings to 50 per cent of the authorized capacity while cinema halls, theatres, restaurants, clubs, gymnasiums and swimming pools have been permitted to function at 25 per cent of the authorized capacity with due precautions. No Death Reported In 24 Hours, Active Cases Decline To Less Than 2000 Jammu and Kashmir reported 151 fresh Covid-19 cases in the last 24 hours, the lowest single-day count in 49 days, even as there was no death due to the virus, officials said on Sunday. On Sunday, a senior Jal Shakti Ministry official said that a 10-member Indian delegation will visit Pakistan for the annual meeting of the Permanent Indus Commission from March 1-3, PTI reported. In a first since the signing of the Indus Water Treaty between the two countries, three female officers will also be part of the Indian delegation, which will be advising the Indian Commissioner on various issues during the meeting, the official said.
