The Weatherman on Sunday forecasted scattered to fairly widespread light to moderate rains and snowfall across Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday and Wednesday. Kashmir is witnessing an improvement in night temperatures and an increase in day temperatures from the past two weeks, the MeT said. The Meteorological Department (MeT) earlier said that dry weather will likely continue till February 22nd. A suspected Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) militant was arrested in the Doda district of Jammu Kashmir, officials said on Sunday. Adil Iqbal Butt, a resident of Sazan-Bajarni village, was apprehended by a joint search party of police, Rashtriya Rifles and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) during checking of vehicles at Thathri on Saturday, the officials said. They said a pistol, two magazines and nine rounds were recovered from the possession of the suspected terrorist.
