The Jammu Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested four militant overground workers (OGW) in Srinagar district. In a press release, Srinagar Police said, "On the basis of reliable intelligence input, it was found that the militant organization. The Resistance Front (TRF) is active in JK and is being orchestrated by handlers based in Pakistan. Two active militants namely; Basit Ahmed Dar of Redwani Kulgam and Momin Gulzar of Eid gah Srinagar are using the network of overground workers in the valley for subversive activities." Anti-corruption Bureau arrested a Sarpanch in Anatnag district of south Kashmir while demanding and accepting Rs 6500 bribe, officials said. “Anti-Corruption Bureau received a complaint, wherein the complainant alleged that Sarpanch Khulchohar, District Anantnag Mst. Israeli forces shot and killed a Palestinian man Tuesday in the village of Nabi Saleh in the occupied West Bank’s central city of Ramallah, according to a statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Health. The ministry did not provide additional details on the circumstances of his death. Witnesses told Anadolu Agency that clashes erupted in Nabi Saleh between Israeli forces and dozens of youths. They said Israel forces used live bullets, metal bullets and tear gas against the youth and a young man was injured during the confrontations after a live bullet hit his stomach and he was immediately taken to a hospital.– AA

The newly constituted State Investigation Agency (SIA) arrested at least 10 persons during nocturnal raids in three districts of south Kashmir. The raids were conducted in Kulgam, Pulwama, and Shopian. Official sources told news agency Kashmir News Trust that these SIA conducted these raids during interviewing night of 15 and 16 February. Ten alleged militant sympathizers were arrested who have been handed over to another agency for questioning. Poor patients are being cheated by some employees at some Primary Health centres across Kashmir, thereby playing with their lives and authorities must take cognizance of it, the Private diagnostic centre Association said on Tuesday.
