AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi was attacked in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur on Thursday. Owaisi said that shots were fired at his car when he was returning to Delhi after campaigning in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut. "No one was injured but his car tyres were punctured," he said. "We are all safe. Alhamdulillah," he wrote on his twitter. As per reports, the incident took place in Hapur in western Uttar Pradesh. The shooters left their weapons and escaped, said the Hyderabad MP. "I was leaving for Delhi after a poll event in Kithaur, Meerut. Three to four rounds of bullets were fired upon my vehicle by two people near Chhajarsi toll plaza; there were a total of 3-4 people," Mr Owaisi told NDTV.

At least six people are feared dead in a road accident in Keshwan area of District Kishtwar. Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Ashok Kumar Sharma told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that five people died on the spot while one is being shifted to hospital. A district court in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj has issued a notice to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) based on a plea against Prime Minister Narendra Modi for wearing the Indian Army uniform during his visit to Kashmir in 2021. Advocate Rakeshnath Pandey filed a case against PM Modi for wearing the army uniform under section 156 (3) Code of Criminal Procedure.
