Admin Announces Winter Vacation for Colleges in Jammu Kashmir

The administration Thursday announced winter vacation for degree colleges in Jammu Kashmir. As per an official order issued by the Principal Secretary Higher Education Department, Rohit Kansal, "all government degree colleges in Kashmir division and those falling under winter zone Jammu shall observe the winter vacation with effect from December 27 till February 14, 2022."

File Property Returns Annually or Face Action: Administration Tells Government Employees

The Jammu Kashmir administration has made it mandatory for government employees in Jammu Kashmir to file property returns every year. The admin has said that action will be taken against the employees under the Anti-Corruption Act and the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Declaration Property Act for non-filing of returns on the PRS portal during the period from January 1 to 31. The employees will have to upload the details of their own and their family's assets online. Commissioner Secretary of General Administrative Department Manoj Kumar Dwivedi has issued the circular on Wednesday. Security forces on Thursday claimed to have averted a major tragedy by defusing an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district. Official sources told (KDC) that an IED weighed approx 5 Kgs was detected by 50 RR, 183 Battalion of CRPF and SOG near Graveyard of village Wanpora in Pulwama, which was later destroyed by the bomb disposal squad. Rayees Shah On Wednesday evening, dead body of a mentally unsound person was found in Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
