Engineer Farooq Khan passed away at his native on Sunday night at his residence in Anantnag town's Janglat Mandi area. A family member of Khan confirmed his passing away to The Kashmiriyat over the phone and said his Nimaz e Janaza would be performed today. After he was acquitted by the court in 2015 after spending 18 years in various prisons after which he joined the Democratic Freedom Party. The Crime Branch of Jammu Kashmir Police has filed a charge sheet against six persons, including government officials, for their involvement in hatching a criminal conspiracy and preparing mutation of over two acres of land here, an official said on Sunday. The chargesheet against two revenue officials and four members of a family was filed in the court of special judge, anti-corruption, for a judicial determination on Saturday, a spokesperson of the Jammu Crime Branch said.
