Kulgam Encounter- After a Brief Lull, Massive Firing Restarts, One Militant Killed So Far

After the killing of one militant, fresh firing has started at the site of the encounter in the Chanser area of Kulgam's Czawalgam area. Speaking to The Kashmiriyat, sources said that reinforcements have been rushed to the spot and locals are being evacuated from around the spot of the encounter. Earlier, an encounter started between militants and Government Forces when forces launched a cordon and search operation in the area. During the cordon, the officials said, militants fired upon them, triggering  an encounter. The initial exchange of gunfight lead to the killing of one militant who has not been identified as of yet.

Admin Asks all Departments to Ensure no ‘wasteful’ Expenditure

As per a report by Quds News Network, the Human rights watchdogs stated that the Israeli forces arrested 467 Palestinian citizens, including 135 children and ten women, last October. The reports states that the watchdogs (The Committee of Detainees and Former Detainees’ Affairs, The Palestinian Prisoners Association, Addameer, and Wadi Hilweh Information Center) added that the arrests increased the total number of Palestinians in Israeli prisons to nearly 4650 until the end of October. The number includes 34 women, 160 children, and nearly 500 administrative detainees. Encounter Rages in Kulgam’s Czawalgam Area

Danishwar Hameed An encounter has started between Government forces and militants at Chanser area of Czawalgam village of South Kashmir's Kulgam district on Thursday afternoon. An official told The Kashmiriyat that two Militants are believed to trapped at the site of the encounter in this kulgam area. He said that earlier the Government Forces had launched a cordon and search Operation following specific inputs about the presence of militants in the area in wee hours of Thursday morning.
