As the winter is round the corner, people from different areas of north Kashmir's Bandipora district Tuesday complaining of unscheduled and extended power cuts demanded an immediate end to such measures. The security and intelligence grid is probing to figure out possible routes followed by multiple militant groups to reach Rajouri and Poonch districts which witnessed a sudden rise in militant activities in the last four months. The Central Reserve Police Force will send five additional companies to Jammu and Kashmir in wake of recent civilian killings in the Union Territory, the CRPF said on Tuesday, as per a tweet by ANI. The tweet also added that these companies will be deployed there within a week. The force earlier sent 25 companies in Jammu Kashmir. It is pertinent to mention that after 13 civilian killings within the month of October, in the month of November so far, 2 targeted killings were reported. A civilian was shot dead in Downtown, Srinagar on Monday. A cop was also killed on Sunday.
