CRPF Trooper Kills Self in Lethpora Pulwama

A CRPF personnel on Monday shot himself dead with his service rifle at a camp in Lethpora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district, official sources said. They said that the constable of the paramilitary force identified as Bupinder Singh of Bharatpur Rajasthan ended his life by shooting himself with his service rifle at 185 bataliion Camp Lethpora. He died on the spot, they said. A police official told GNS that the proceedings have been launched into the incident. It was not immediately known what made the constable take the extreme step. A 29-year-old policeman was shot dead by the unidentified gunmen on Sunday evening in Batamaloo area of Srinagar. Official sources told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that a policeman identified as Tauseef Ahmad was fired upon by the unidentified gunmen in SD Colony area of Batamaloo. Suspected Militants hurled a grenade towards a security forces party in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday, police said. No loss of life or injury has been reported so far in the incident. Meer Irfan A Suspected Militant was found in the Harmain area of South Kashmir's Shopian district. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that a Lashker-e-Toiba/TRF Militant identified as Sahil Bashir Lone of Harmain was critically injured with a bullet wound in Hermain area of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday. The Locals spotted him and rushed him to district hospital, they said. The cause of the injuries has not been ascertained as of yet. On Sunday, officials said that the Jammu Kashmir Police has moved the home department for granting sanction for prosecution against nine people in a case related to "selling of MBBS seats in Pakistan to Kashmiri students" and using the money "to support and fund terrorism," as per a report by PTI.
