On Friday, the Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar, ruled out any militancy related angle in the death of mentally unsound non-local in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district. At around 12:20 hrs, an unidentified dead body was found under the jurisdiction of police station Anantnag. The police said that the deceased was a destitute surviving of alms collected from the area. Traffic Advisory Released Ahead Of Amit Shah’s Visit From 23-25 Oct., Boulevard Road from Badyari to Nishat & Gupkhar Road To Remain Closed

In a recent Traffic Advisory released by the Traffic Police City Srinagar, the commuters have been informed that the "Boulevard Road Srinagar from Badyari to Nishat & Gupkhar Road will remain closed for general traffic in connection with visit of VVIP from 23rd to 25th October, 2021." The commuters have been "requested to opt for Foreshore - Habak - Hazratbal route OR Tailbal - Zakoora - Hazratbal route and Badyari-Hazratbal route for return journey." As far as the tourists are concerned, the advisory says that they will be allowed up to Nehru Park after "proper verification of their places of stay." House, 4 Shops Gutted In Uttersoo Anantnag

A residential house and four shops were gutted in a fire at Krad area of Uttersoo in South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, officials said on Friday. An official told GNS that a massive fire broke out during the midnight in the shops/house of one Ghulam Nabi Itoo son Mohammad Akbar Itoo at Krad Uttersoo Anantnag. Later on locals immediately rushed to the spot and with the help of fire tenders, doused off the flames. In this incident, one story house and four shops were damaged. However, there was no loss of life or injury reported, he said. The cause of fire was not known immediately and is being ascertained, the official added.(GNS)
