The National conference president on Sunday said that the recent killings in Kashmir are unfortunate and Kashmiris are not involved in these killings. Dr. Farooq Abdullah said that these attacks were carried under a conspiracy to defame Kashmiris. The former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister also termed these incidents an attempt to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere in the region. "These killings are unfortunate and done under a conspiracy. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Vijay Kumar Sunday strongly rebutted the order asking non-local labourers to reach police stations and army camps terming it as “totally baseless and fake order.” “There is no such order. It’s a fake one,” the IGP Kashmir told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO). An order that has gone viral on social media reads that all DIGs are impressed upon to take all non-local labourers to police stations and army camps. Officials told The Kashmiriyat that unknown gunmen on Sunday evening opened fired upon three civilians in the Ganipora area of Kulgam causing injuries to three persons, who were identified as Non-Locals. Two of them are said to have died on the spot, while one identified as Chun Chun Reshi Dev, a resident of Bihar was critically wounded in the firing. A Non local has been shot at by unknown gunmen in the Laram Ganjipora area of South Kashmir's Kulgam district. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Sunday afternoon unknown gunmen fired at a civilian in the Laram Ganjipora area of Khudwani in the Kulgam district. The  labourer has been identified as Chun Chun Reshi Dev, a resident of Bihar. He has been shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) in Anantnag for treatment. Officials at GMC Anantnag stated his condition to be critical. Meanwhile, the forces have rushed to the spot to nab the attackers.  

Two people, including an employee of the Power Development Department, were killed and another injured when their car skidded off the road and plunged into a 300-feet deep gorge in Jammu  Kashmir’s Bhaderwah district on Sunday, officials said. The accident took place near Khanni top along the interstate Bhaderwah-Chamba road, they said. Ravi Kumar (42), who was driving the a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), and PDD employee Ijaz Ahmad (45), both residents of Sartingal village, died on-the-spot while another person identified as Irfan Ahmad hailing from the Bheja village was injured and evacuated to Bhaderwah hospital by rescuers.
