
Kashmiri Pandits Celeberate Raksha Bandhan with fervour and Gaiety.

Raksha Bandhan celebrated with traditional fervour across Jammu Kashmir on Sunday. A large number of people thronged several temples to pay their obeisance. Women were seen tying the sacred threads (Rakhis) on the wrists of their brothers.
People who observed a fast on the occasion relished delicacies and sweets in the evening, specially prepared for the festival.
"The festival carries a message of love and harmony, Raksha Badhan is also about family get-together and bonding," said Sanjay Raina, a Kashmiri Pandit of vessu Colony Qazigund.
Raksha Bandhan was also celebrated at Veeran Pandit Colony Baramulla, sacred thread were tied on the wrists as a message of love and brotherhood.
