Two days after being brutally assaulted for selling bangles in the Hindu area in Madhya Pradesh’s Govindnagar Indore, the Muslim man has been booked by the police on charges of “harassment”. In a video that went viral on social media, the 25-year-old Tasleem Ali was seen being brutally assaulted by Hindu men for entering into a Hindu-dominated locality and selling bangles there. Police later detained three Hindu men over assaulting Ali. The assaulters had also threatened Ali not to enter the ‘Hindu locality’ again. The body of a 36-year-old female teacher was found around 100 meters from her residence in Poonch district on Tuesday, officials said. They said “injury marks” were visible on the body of the teacher identified as Shanaz Akhter (teacher) wife of Mohammad Irfan of Keri Gursai. Confirming it, SHO Gurasi Niaz Ahmad told GNS postmortem is being conducted at Government Sub-district hospital Mendhar. He said that “there are visible injury marks” on the body of the teacher, who was posted at government middle school Keri Gulthan in the Balakote Mendhar area of the district. On Monday night, Israel launched a series of airstrikes on several areas in the Gaza strip, local sources said. Israel's fighter jets carried out a fresh series of airstrikes last night on the Gaza Strip. No casualties were reported amidst the bombing. This was the latest episode in the ongoing Israeli escalation on the besieged enclave. The Israeli warplanes fired at least 3 missiles at a target in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, and fired drop flare shells over eastern Rafah.
