Afghan Top Politicians, Parliament Speaker Flee the Country: Reports

Senior Afghan politicians arrived in Pakistan on Sunday, the national Shamshad News broadcaster reported, citing the Pakistani ambassador to Afghanistan. The speaker of the lower chamber of the Afghan parliament, Rahman Rahmani, the former foreign minister, Salahuddin Rabbani, the former second vice-president, Karim Halili, and other top-ranking public officials flew from Kabul earlier on Sunday, according to Shamshad News. According to the head of Afghanistan’s Supreme Council for National Reconciliation, Abdullah Abdullah, President Ashraf Ghani stepped down and left the country.

Following the Taliban's conquest of Afghanistan's capital city of Kabul, Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar is expected to be named the country's next president. Baradar, a close ally of Mullah Umar and one of the Taliban's co-founders, currently heads the Taliban's political office and is also a member of the group's Doha negotiating team. Baradar, a trusted Taliban commander, was apprehended by forces in the southern Pakistani city of Karachi in 2010 and released in 2018. Students admitted under Prime Ministers Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) in different colleges across India are facing immense problems. These students are not availing the full benefits under the Scheme as had been promised to them. Students told news agency Kashmir News Trust that they are not getting full scholarship that was promised to them at the time of their admissions. “Under PMSSS we were to get Rs one lakh for books, internet connection, hostel fee and other maintenance charges, but for the current session we are being told that you will only get Rs forty-thousand. One Dead, Another Critical After a Road Accident at Ladoora, Rafiabad

Dar Shahid One died another received serious injuries in an accident after a sumo and a tractor collided near Ladora, Rafiabad on Baramulla-Handwara National highway on Monday. The deceased has been identified as  Waseem Ahmed Sofi and the injured as Showkat Ahmed, a driver of the tractor both residents of Chaklo, Rafiabad. The duo was shifted to the nearby hospital and  later referred to Srinagar where one succumbed to his injuries.

Nine Injured After Load Carrier Skids Off in Kangan

At least nine people were injured after a load carrier vehicle skidded off the road and rolled down at Wusan area of Kangan in Central Kashmir's Ganderbal on Monday morning. An official told the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) the load carrier skidded off the road near Wusan when it was on way from Manigam to Kangan, resulting in injuries to nine persons. An Afghan military jet has crashed in Uzbekistan, an Uzbek news website reported on Monday, citing sources and images shared via messaging apps. According to the report by Gazeta the jet was crashed late on Sunday in Uzbekistan's southernmost Surxondaryo province, which is adjacent to Afghanistan. It published photographs of medics attending to a man in an air force uniform. 2 Dozen Rohingya Refugees Feared to Have Drowned in Bangladesh While Attempting to Flee

The United Nations and the Bangladeshi police have said that on Saturday, almost 2 dozen Rohingya refugees went missing and were feared to have drowned after a boat carrying them capsized in the Bay of Bengal. As per reports, the refugees had been trying to flee a remote Bangladeshi island, where several thousand of them had been relocated after previously residing in the crowded camps near the Myanmar border.
