An explosives-laden drone hit Erbil International Airport late on Tuesday, the Kurdistan Region's Counterterrorism Directorate has said. On Tuesday, the Kurdistan Region's Counterterrorism Directorate said that an explosives-laden drone hit Erbil International Airport. The directorate said that the drone attacked the airport, where US-led coalition troops are stationed, at 10:30 pm. After which, a fire broke out at the site. A cloudburst has hit Zedgay Nallah at Tulail area of Gurez in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday evening. An official told the that a cloudburst triggered flash floods in Zedgay Nallah area, which led to an overflow of a nearby stream and the water entered into the house of villagers. “Due to cloudburst, two cows also died on the spot and several residential houses got submerged,” he said. The Jammu Kashmir Police in Handwara on Wednesday said that one of the oldest commander of Hizb-ul-Mujahideen for North Mehraj ud Din alias Ubaid was killed in a gunfight at Pazipora area of Kralgund in North Kashmir's Handwara. A 3 day cycling expedition to Gurez Valley was concluded by 7 young boys from Sopore town. On 3rd July 2021, 7 enthusiastic boys left for Gurez Valley, 7 in the morning, from Sopore Town, covering a distance of around 117 kilometres on bicycles and reached there at 6:30 in the evening. While descending from Raazdan pass towards Gurez Valley, cyclists experienced fresh snowfall. On day 1 of the expedition included spending night at Gurez valley in tents carried along. On day 2, 4th of July 2021, they left for Tulail Valley at 11 am and returned back to Gurez at 5:30 pm, covering a distance of around 100 kilometres.
