Meer Irfan A fierce gunfight has started between militants and government forces in the Hanjipora area of South Kashmir's Shopian district. An Official told The Kashmiriyat that on Friday afternoon a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Hajipora Shopian. As the forces inched closer towards the suspected spot, the militants fired upon the forces, triggering off a gunfight. As per the sources two to three militants are believed to be trapped.
