As relatives of Covid-19 patients continue to report a shortage of key drugs like Remdesivir, Jammu Kashmir does not figure in the interim allocation list of Tocilizumab injections for states and UTs. Remdesivir is primarily meant for moderately, severely ill covid patients while tocilizumab is given to those who are severely, critically ill. Even as the officials claim enough supply stock position of the key drugs, reports continue to pour in regarding their nonavailability in the Valley’s hospitals and pharmacies. Police Registers FIR Against 47 Persons for ‘Encroaching’ Forest Land in Pahalgam

The Jammu Kashmir Police have registered FIR against 47 persons for allegedly encroaching upon forest land in Pahalgam and cultivating cannabis over it, officials said on Tuesday. They said Police station Pahalgam registered the FIR (No 18/2021) under sections of 8/20 NDPSA and 26 Indian Forest Act on the basis of a criminal complaint lodged by Forest Range officer of the area. “All the accused who encroached forest land belong to village Lidroo located nearby,” a police officer told GNS, adding, “One and all involved in drug trafficking and cultivating narcotic drugs will face the wrath of the law,” he added.
