Residents of Hejamadi village of Karnataka constructed a parallel road to bypass the toll booth. The new road was built on Mangaluru-Udupi highway, after the Indian government made the FASTag mandatory earlier this year. Hejamadi residents were given concession. However, four buses that pick up passengers from the village, did not got any concession. There have been frequent clashes between locals and toll companies over concession. The Cyber Police Kashmir Zone Srinagar on Saturday claimed to have succeeded in tracing and recovering 30 missing mobile phones worth lakhs of rupees. The recovered phones as per the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) were handed over to the rightful owners. “Apart from various cyber crimes which are being reported in Cyber Police Station Kashmir Zone on a routine basis, applications and reports from various complainants about missing of their cell phones are also received continuously,” a police spokesman said in a statement. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has started haunting people yet again in Jammu Kashmir as the cases continue to resurge with the region on Saturday recording over one thousand (1000) positive cases. According to the details available with the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Jammu and Kashmir have recorded 1005 positive today cases while Srinagar, the summer capital has topped the list with 492 cases. As per the figures, out of 1005, 706 persons have been tested positive in Kashmir Valley while 299 are tested positive in the Jammu region.
