Police Recovers 1790 Bottles of Codeine in Anantnag

The Jammu Kashmir Police on Wednesday morning claimed to have arrested two drug peddlers and recovered more than 1790 bottles of codeine in the Anantnag district of South Kashmir. In a press release issued to The Kashmiriyat, the Police said that a Police party from Police Station Bijbehara established Naka at Tulkhan crossing and apprehended two persons namely Lateef Ahmad Shah and Azad Ahmad Shah both residents of Nambal Mattan with 15 Codeine bottles. A Government School building was gutted in a massive blaze in the Kakpora area of Pulwama in South Kashmir. An official confirming the fire incident to The Kashmiriyat said that the Government High school building was damaged in a fire incident late on Tuesday night in the Kakpora area of Pulwama.
