Out of 613 Persons Booked Under PSA in August 2019, 183 Still in Jails

A total of 183 persons are still detained under Public Safety Act while no one is under house arrest in Jammu and Kashmir, Parliament was informed on Wednesday. Giving details, Minister of State for Home G Kishan Reddy said that since August 1, 2019, 613 persons “including separatists, overground workers, stone pelters etc.” were detained at various points of time. “Out of these, based on regular review and ground situation, 430 persons have been released till date,” he said while responding to the questions by Congress leader from Assam Ripun Bora and Shiv Sena’s Priyanka Chaturvedi in the House of Elders. Data of 26 lakh Airtel Users from Jammu Kashmir Leaked

In yet another big leak, personal data of at least 26 lakh Airtel users — nearly all belonging to Jammu and Kashmir — have been hacked and are being sold for $3500 in Bitcoin on the web, independent cybersecurity researcher Rajshekhar Rajaharia told IANS on Tuesday. The data of Airtel customers contain telephone numbers, addresses, Aadhaar numbers and other details, according to the screenshots and a video shared by Rajaharia. “The hacker had access to the data and wanted to sell them, but could not succeed. Nearly 34 Lakh Domicile Certificates Issued in Jammu Kashmir: MHA

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) Tuesday said that the Jammu Kashmir administration had issued nearly 34 lakh domicile certificates till January 25, 2021. In a written response, G Kishan Reddy said: “The Government of Jammu Kashmir has reported that up to 25th January 2021, a total of 33,80,234 Domicile certificates have been issued in Jammu Kashmir. Since the constitutional changes were made in August, 2019, 58 civilians have lost their lives in 54 terror attacks for various purposes.
