March 13 A cordon and search operation (CASO) has been launched by Government Forces in Shah Gund area of North Kashmir's Bandipora District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Wednesday evening, 13 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police jointly launched a search operation in Karnia Mohalla Shah Gund Bandipora District. Following inputs about Militant movement in the area, the forces blocked all the entry and exit points of the area.   A door to door search operation had been launched when this report was filed.

March 13 Grand Mufti Nasir ul Islam on Wednesday said that they have withdrawn the shutdown call for March 16 against NIA summoning of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq. Grand Mufti Nasir ul Islam issued a statement and said that they have withdrawn the strike call. Mutahida Ulema Council had called for a state wide shutdown over the National Investigation Agency’s summon to Mirwaiz. “No shutdown should be observed on Saturday now,” they said.
