Hyderabad- Girl Stripped Naked, Cut With Blades and Filmed by a Drug Addict

March 09 A 16-year-old girl was allegedly stripped naked and her body cut with blade by a drug addict in Hyderabad, NDTV reported. The Drug addict filmed the act even as the girl, covered in blood, kept requesting him to stop the assault and let her go. The girl was rescued by locals after they heard her screams; the accused was beaten up before he was handed over to the police. The incident is reported to have taken place in Hyderabad's Gandhi Nagar on Thursday. Gandhi Nagar, which has a large number of students, has become infamous for drug-related incidents, say social workers.

Gunshots Heard During CASO in Shopian Area

March 09 Gunshots have been heard during a cordon and search operation at Heff area in Zainapora in South Kashmir's Shopian District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that 44 RR of Indian army and Jammu Kashmir Police had jointly launched a search operation in the area on Saturday The entry and exit points were blocked as the operation was launched. Massive gunshots have been heard in the area, Locals told The Kashmiriyat. However officials could not be reached to confirm whether a contact had been established with Militants or not.

CASO Launched in Shopian Areas

March 09 A cordon and search operation (CASO) has been launched by Government Forces in South Kashmir's Shopian District. Sources told The Kashmiriyat that on Saturday morning, 44 RR of Indian Army, CRPF and Jammu Kashmir Police jointly launched a search operation in Moolu, Heff and Shermal areas of South Kashmir's Shopian District. Following inputs about Militant movement in the area, the forces blocked all the entry and exit points of the area.   A door to door search operation had been launched when this report was filed.

Army Man Abducted by Suspected Militants in Budgam

March 08 An army soldier was abducted by unknown gunmen at Qazipora area in Chadoora area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Friday late evening. Sources told The Kashmiriyar that an Army soldier identified Mohammad Yaseen of JAKLI unit  was abducted from his home at Qazipora by unknown gunmen. They said that  the rifleman was on leave till March 31. Immediately, a joint team of police and army rushed to the spot to ascertain the details. A massive search operation was launched in Qazipora, Chadoora and borders of neighboring Pulwama district.

March 08 The Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan on Friday said no militant group would be allowed to operate on Pakistani soil and carry out attacks abroad, Reuters reported. “This government will not allow Pakistan’s land to be used for any kind of outside terrorism,” Khan said on Friday while addressing a public rally in southern Pakistan. “We will not allow any militant group to function in our country now.” Pakistan began a crackdown against militant groups this week amid growing international pressure in the wake of the Pulwama attack by Jaish-e-Mohammad.

Another MIG 21 of Indian Air Force Crashes

March 08 An Indian Air Force MiG 21 crashed in Rajasthan today. The pilot of the fighter jet ejected and is reported to be safe. News agency PTI, quoting Bikaner’s superintendent of police, reported that the MiG-21 jet crashed in Bikaner’s Shoba Sar ki Dhani area. The Indian Air Force said in a statement that the MiG-21 had taken from the Indian Air Force’s Nal airbase in Rajasthan and that it was on a routine mission. The MiG-21 crash in Rajasthan comes at a time of heightened tensions between India and Pakistan. Air forces of both the countries have been involved in bombing missions in respective territories. Indian and Pakistani jets even got into a dogfight over Jammu and Kashmir on February 27 leading to the brief capture of Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman.
