Sheikh Nadeem

On Friday, the R&B Department’s Achabal Sub-Division commenced the long-awaited macadamization of the Palpora Link Road, which had been in a dire state since 1977.

The road’s poor condition had significantly impacted daily commuters and pedestrians, causing considerable hardships.

Following extensive public outcry over the road’s deteriorated state, the administration took decisive action to address the issue.

Locals have expressed immense joy and appreciation for the R&B Department’s efforts, particularly commending the Exon and JE for their responsiveness to the community’s grievances.

Local resident Mohammed Shaban spoke to The Kashmiriyat and expressed relief stating, “Repairing this vital road is a significant relief for us, especially after so many years.”

R&B JE Muneeb Ahmad informed the media that the main stretch of the road has been completed. Plans are underway to macadamize the remaining stretch next year.
