Panic has gripped Turk Tachloo, a Kulgam village after death of a minor girl due to Hepatitis, this Wednesday.
BMO Yaripora confirmed the death of minor to The Kashmiriyat, and said, “We have sent medical team there.”
Meanwhile, reports reaching The Kashmiriyat suggest that after the death of the minor girl namely Mayira Gulzar (05) due to Hepatitis, the medical team immediately started a survey in the village and came to conclude that many other villagers were infected by the disease, too.
Few of them are said to be critical, among which two were referred to SKIMS Soura and JVC Srinagar for further treatment.
According to an employee of health department, the infected persons are mostly minors. The sampling process has been started in the village. “So far, 14 minors have been suspected,” she said.
