At least three persons have been safely rescued by the district president of the People’s Democratic Party and the Police after they got stuck in Nallah Sindh due to the heavy flow of water after fresh rains near Satruna Kangan of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district on Wednesday.
An official told The Kashmiriyat that three persons who have gone to cataclysmic hardwood in River Sindh at Satruna Kangan got stuck due to the heavy flow of water.
Soon after receiving the information Police team from Police station Kangan, PDP District president Ganderbal who is also a well-trained swimmer Bashir Ahmad Mir along with tourism rafting boats reached Satruna and rescued all the three trapped persons safely.
The rescued persons have been identified as Muzaffar Raina S/O Mushtaq Ahmad Raina, Aqib Ahmad Shah S/O Mumtaz Ahmad Shah, Suhail Ahmad Chopan S/O Abdul Gani Chopan ALL Residents of Satruna Kangan.
Earlier SDPO Kangan Syed Yasir Qadri appealed to the general public no to go to the Banks of Nallah as the water level has been Increased in the River Sindh following torrential rains.
