Former PDP General Secretary Syed Mansoor and ex-MLC Yasir Reshi have rejoined the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), marking their return to the party fold on Sunday at its Srinagar headquarters.
The two leaders were welcomed back by PDP president Mehbooba Mufti and senior party members. Their return comes after years of political shifts, during which both had parted ways with the party.
Yasir Reshi had resigned from PDP’s basic membership in 2021 and later joined Sajad Lone’s Jammu Kashmir People’s Conference. In September 2024, he switched allegiance to the Awami Etihad Party (AIP). Similarly, Syed Mansoor resigned from PDP in July 2021, citing personal and political reasons, before joining JKPC.
Their rejoining signals a political recalibration ahead of the evolving political landscape in Jammu Kashmir.
